Honoring the Legacy of Our Founder, Emery Kertesz

At the heart of Pro Acoustics’ story lies an extraordinary individual who shaped not only the business we are today but also the values and culture that continue to guide us. Emery Kertesz, our late founder, was more than a leader—he was a visionary, a mentor, and a man whose kindness and innovation touched countless lives.

Though some of you may have never had the privilege of meeting Emery, his influence can still be felt in everything we do. Emery was a brilliant inventor, an exceptional businessman, and a motivator who believed deeply in the potential of others. He had an unparalleled ability to recognize strengths and encourage people to pursue their talents.

Beyond the workplace, Emery’s compassion for others truly set him apart. He valued hard work and prioritized the well-being of those around him. From helping employees navigate life’s challenges to anonymously supporting families and shelters in need, Emery’s actions spoke volumes about his character.

Emery’s passion extended beyond the office. He was a loving husband to his wife, Sheila, and a proud father to his sons, Joe and Austin. His joy only deepened with the arrival of his grandchildren, whose stories he loved to share. He also cherished his sister, Kati, and often spoke of her musical talent with admiration.

Known for his humor and perspective, Emery had a knack for bringing levity to even the most stressful situations. His famous saying, “We sell audio equipment, not heart-lung machines,” reminds us to stay grounded while pursuing excellence.

Emery’s legacy is a blend of innovation, generosity, and heart. As we move forward, Pro Acoustics remains committed to upholding the values he instilled in us—kindness, integrity, and the belief in dreaming big.

We are endlessly grateful to his family for sharing such a remarkable man with us.
