Honoring a Legacy of Faith

Honoring a Legacy of Faith

“But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.” —Psalm 103:17

This past week, Cristina Popovici and I had the privilege of experiencing God’s love and grace through two deeply meaningful family events.

The first was the Bogdan family reunion, where we honored my father-in-law's heritage alongside his nine siblings and their families. Seeing all ten siblings together was nothing short of a blessing—a sight we had prayed for and were thrilled to witness. God answered our prayers, allowing us to share in laughter, memories, and testimonies of faith across generations. It was a powerful reminder of God’s steadfast love, knitting together family bonds stretching miles and years. Celebrating the legacy of faith within the Bogdan family was a profound experience for us all, and it was amazing to see how each sibling's journey reflects God’s grace and faithfulness.

Alongside this reunion, Cristina and I had the privilege of attending the inauguration of the new building of Liceul Teologic Baptist ?Alexa Popovici” Arad, a school named after my grandfather. This school, founded after the 1989 revolution, has become one of the top institutions in Arad and is highly ranked across Romania. In 2020, the EduFort Foundation set on a journey to build a new building. With God's grace and guidance, they received free prime real estate from the city and started raising funds. Within a few short years, the first of three buildings is completed. When completed, the school will have over 1,200 students in one location.

In addition, it was incredibly moving to witness the legacy of faith my grandfather left in the community by visiting my grandfather's childhood home and one of the first churches he built in 1939.

Before heading home, we had the opportunity to make a quick stop in Rome. It was a refreshing visit, and the sights and history of the city added a perfect conclusion to our journey.

Reflecting on the joy and faithfulness surrounding these moments, we feel grateful to see God’s hand at work. We ask for your prayers and support as we honor this legacy and further our mission for His glory.
