?Thrilled to meet His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania who was honored by Combat Antisemitism Movement for his unwavering support for the Jewish people and the State of Israel. ?
The reception, taking place in New York during United Nations General Assembly week, honored Rama and recognized Albania’s unwavering commitment to protecting minorities, confronting antisemitism and promoting Holocaust education, and fostering positive multifaith relations - setting a powerful example for nations worldwide.
The event was titled Bridging Nations: A Tribute to Prime Minister Edi Rama during the UN General Assembly.
?It comes at a particularly crucial time as the world is witnessing a dangerous rise in antisemitism globally. In this climate of increasing hatred, Albania, a proudly moderate Muslim nation, stands as a stronghold of tolerance and unity. Just as it has done in the past, Albania is once again taking decisive action against antisemitism under Rama’s leadership, forging a coalition of Balkan states to combat the spread of hate in the region.
?Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was joined by The Center for Jewish Impact (CJI), and B'nai B'rith International (BBI). ?
Featured speakers included CAM Chief of Staff Arthur Maserjian, Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, ?
BBI Chief Executive Dan Mariaschin, CJI Chairman Robert Singer, and Valentina Leskaj, former Albanian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. ???
