Honor Yourself. Don't Wait For Others To Be Proud Of You

Honor yourself. Don't wait for others to be proud of you. That's a fool's game. Instead, start every day by saying, “I am proud of myself. I approve of me. I trust me. I like me. I am enough.”

When you don’t honor yourself, you let others — friends, family, partners, groups — decide for you or unnecessarily influence your choices.

When you honor yourself, you don’t need anyone else to do that for you. Of course, I’m not suggesting you don’t need to connect with and care about other people. But, I’m saying you don’t have to live your life based on other people’s expectations and acceptance.

Ironically, by being fully uniquely yourself, you’ll discover things about yourself that you never knew before. At least that’s been my experience.

Start each day by imagining you have all the praise and recognition you secretly crave before you begin, instead of trying to capture it from others during the day. This shift in thinking will radically change your life.

Define success on your terms, not other people's. And when you have achieved something or overcome a challenge, take a moment or two to celebrate and honor yourself. You deserve it!

Today say yes to happiness. Make it a fantastic Tuesday!
