An honor to present at Oregon Dept of Transportation Regional Conference

The NWTC is reoccurring event that is hosted by the Oregon Dept of Transportation. I was contacted by Mr. Jon Lazarus to speak on a number of topics from the viewpoint of the Project Management Institute's 6th edition PMBOK. Those topics covered were Risk, Change Management and Agile with emphasis on the "Best Practices" as outlined in the 6th ed PMBOK.

To ensure the PMI "Best Practices" were traceable to ODOT practices, I was teamed up with Ms. Twyla Cobos from the Risk and Insurance area and Mr. Dick Upton Delivery Manager. Each of the topics were presented as to the best practices and related to how ODOT was maintaining quality in each area.

The presentations were interactive with attendees and within our teaming. Mr. Upton and I utilized our joint participation one of ODOT's telecommunication projects to provide relevant examples.
