Honing your craft

Honing your craft is a lifelong process.

When you get a chance to perform at your best, reflect what made that happen. It’s never an accident. Many things have to align to create a top performance.

By being aware of what makes this happen, you can replicate it in the future. Without this awareness, replication would be a hit and miss. You may need to journal the success factors, which you can review before embarking on future performances.

I spoke with one of the best inspirational speakers in the world recently and I noticed after his performance he wrote a 15-page journal of the good, the bad, and the indifferent of the event. Do you think this would help him with a better outcome the next time? You bet!

The world-class treat their craft with discipline and reverence. No wonder they are world-class!
