Honest reasons why I LOOOOOOOVVEEEEEE Airports!

One honest reason I love airports is because the rules of society just don’t apply there. I can easily eat pizza and drink beer at 7am – while wearing sweatpants. And no-body cares. :)
Mentioned below are some more reasons that gravitate me towards airports. Read along and enjoy:
1.??? People Watching
There are stories in everyone waiting for the plane. There is controversy. There is boredom. Families fighting… people talking to their loved ones. There is life. So much humanity trammeling by.
There are people running late, killing time and everything else in between…
I find observing people to be the most relaxing and pleasurable activity to engage in. Cannot help but wonder, where must they be headed? Where are they coming from? Are they traveling for business or leisure? What are the texting... What must have been the reply? What their Instagram feed might look like. Oh…and so much more!
Right from their body language cues, hand movement, fiddling (or not) with their hair.. phone.. Luggage etc, their fashion sense, the choice of colors, facial expressions !! People are like bare books – There’s only so much one can hide.

2.??? Home is everywhere
I love strolling through the airport. Can’t help but notice the efficiency they demand and their smooth transactional nature. Everyone is on their way to be somewhere… Moving from one beautiful place to another.
At an airport, you are always only a few hours away from where-ever you choose to be. What better feeling to have?

3.??? The “expensive” Sounds
The clink-clank-clink of footwear/ heels and the tic-tak of suitcase wheels, white noise of silence and muffed talks, missed announcements and the thick aroma of coffee that fills the air – uff. These airport sounds are pure ASMR for me.
What’s your not-so-obvious reason for loving airports? Tell me in the comments below.

1 年Loved every instance. I feel a sense of freedom in an airport. No baggage to carry, the opportunity to fly amongst ??, hoping to meet new people and knowing someone is waiting for me at the other side.??
