Together with Paulien Berendsen , Eric Sloot is the initiator of?VRIENDEN. It is not only a new furniture brand with an innovative sales concept, it is also a social design network. It grew out of our desire to bring design to the enthusiast in a totally different way: you do not view the furniture in a traditional store but at 'Friends', a nationwide network of private viewing points, to be found through this website. The furniture and interior accessories of VRIENDEN's basic collection are designed by Paulien Berendsen & Eric Sloot, Floris Hovers, Liset van der Scheer.?Eric is also a co-founder of IXXI.Eric bought an industrial office building/ loft in the center of Den Bosch in 2018. It was a large empty space that he could furnish completely according to his own wishes. As a designer, he has a strong affinity for wood and decided to design and build everything himself. He started with the kitchen, which he wanted to position centrally in the building. Of course, all furniture pieces are of his own design (together with Paulien Berendsen) for the label VRIENDEN. Eric is enamored with Tonone's lamps, the?Bolt Floor 2arm in the color Sunny Yellow?is his absolute favorite! Anyway, Tonone's colors perfectly match Eric's taste and style. The custom letter lamp is from?Atelier Rene Knip.?
