HOMESCHOOL MOM’S GREATEST FEAR – I AM NOT QUALIFIED!!!

?This is arguably one of the greatest parental fears in homeschooling their child. ?Our minds tend to oscillate between the past and future, so very few of us, are actually here in the present. We never are grounded for sustained periods of time, which is essential during the teaching and learning process.

Your child through the grace of God, has come through you. Therefore, within his wisdom, he saw it fit, that you be the designated parent. So, if you are the designated parent that comes from power from above, then why is it that we succumb and fold, feeling doubts, anxiety, and pressure on whether we can deliver or not when it comes to our child’s education? In fact, if someone else, put you in charge of teaching their child, you would probably be more on guard and probably respect both the process and yourself more.

It does take courage for a parent to homeschool their child. This shows definitive leadership and intent on the path of the parent, and also the direction in which education is imparted to the child. We understand that the mass education system in society has been coined by the knowing few, who found strength in educating the masses to be workers, not leaders. We as parents that are new to homeschooling are probably coming into this process with a similar old lens of being submissive, following the crowd, not being different, etc. The times dictate that we remove this old and outdated vision of ourselves and reinforce our vision as being the new teacher of the new and changing global system, where humans are now being infused with artificial intelligence. This requires a paradigm shift in our own social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental inner states within us, before we stand in front of our child, as a teacher of the new paradigm.

Faith within a parent is paramount for academic success. This is well summed up by Jesus. Mark 11:22-23. “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
