Heart Rainbow Bunting

What you need

Paper, paint & brushes/ pencils/ felt tips, scissors, string, sticky tape and tape measure.

Instructions

Step 1. Draw a heart and cut out to use as your template. You can of course draw each one out individually, but you should find this faster (offering some consistency to your bunting).

Step 2. Take a piece of paper and fold in half length ways. Place your template near to the top and draw around, then draw boxes going to the top of the page on top of each arch of the heart (as below). By folding length ways it should allow you to get more cut outs per sheet.

* The reason for the loops on the top is so you can hang your heart over the string. See the below picture of how the cut out should look once unfolded.

Step 3. Measure the window you wish to hang your bunting across and cut a piece of string or ribbon to this size. You can of course use anything to hang the cut outs just as long as it will hold.

Step 4. Repeat step 2 until you have the desired amount of hearts (or cut outs) to fill your bunting.

Step 5. Colour each heart in a rainbow. Being the artist you decide your colours and designs it really is down to you!

Step 6. Put your string in place and secure with tape across the window I will secure to the window frame so it does not touch the paintwork, but you could hang each individual heart for your curtain poll if you'd prefer.

Step 7. Once your hearts (or cut outs) are dry hang them over the string (if you need to secure them in place use the tape). Thats all folks you are done!

The hearts are an idea (of course suggested by my daughter), but you can use any template such as trains, flowers, rainbows or people. The reason that I have gone with the rainbow is of course to support our Key Workers putting themselves on the line to support and care for the nation.

Once my daughter has finished hers I'll update with an image below.

Let's show our appreciation support people!!
