HOME SALES ARE ANTICIPATED TO RISE...

For those who may not know me, my name is Vladimir Sirota and I've been making signs for REALTORS for nearly 40 years. My businesses have been located in Southern California, Las Vegas and Arizona, I have lived through and seen the various swings in the Real Estate Market.


Some of you, (older REALTORS) may remember what was called “Creative Financing” during the early 80's and the mortgage rates at 19 to 21%. Yet, we road that roller coaster and came through those times. Then in the late 1980's the Real Estate Market just went flat. Here in Southern California, REALTORS were lucky if they could find a buyer and there was no shortage of houses on the market. I had a house, my wife and I tried to sell through a local broker and during the six months that house was listed, we had ZERO, no prospect even come to see our home. I had agents tell me, during that period, that was not uncommon.


Then, do you remember from 2005 to early 2007, the Real Estate inventory was not that great and that nearly every house that appeared on the market, was engaged in a bidding war and we saw the prices sail through the ceiling. Some home values may have been inflated as a result of how the market was moving.


Well, after being on an extended honeymoon/vacation for the last three years, now that I am back and making Real Estate Signs once again, I read the national news and forecasts and see that here, in Southern California, we have a shortage in inventory, homes on the market for sale. That could possibly mean that there may be a bidding situation when prospective buyers start looking to buy a particular property.


Some economists believe that this summer and early fall, there will be a surge of interest to purchase homes and with the low inventory, we may be in for some interesting events.


You may ask, why is Vladimir writing about a possible spike in Real Estate Sales? Well, as Professional REALTORS, you should want your signs to be a reflection of you and your professionalism. That is where I come in.
