I started leaning heavily on my people a year and a day ago. I needed to find a new "home." As someone who preached that social capital is bottomless and that we're allowed to withdraw from the relationship piggy bank, I had many phone convos/zooms/in-person chats. My circle of champions and the concentric circles atop that circle were incredibly generous with their time, wisdom, and connections.

After roughly 400 convos, I found a new home! My executive coach asked this question to reflect on my work: "What's the master lesson while you're here?" At Stronger Consulting , my master lesson is to build, codify, and scale our business development process. I'm excited to be doing work where I spend most of my time focusing on relationships, strategy, and culture.

I put together a Koala sofa bed for our living room this weekend. While it took some effort to put the sofa together (it had more to do with all of the boxes and taking the plastic off!), the hard work was worth it.

We had a family movie night last night, watching one of the few Disney movies we hadn't watched (The Descendants!).

Home is home.

I see the unseen.

This is one of the ways I describe my intuition. I'm not sure where my gift started, but I know that my mother used to be able to hear from people who passed. She once got a phone call from a friend who had passed before my mom knew.

Now I know what you're saying. In the words of Sunshine Anderson, I heard it all before.

I've been working with Julie Chan to focus my intuitive gifts for the last six years.

She shared something with me a year ago from one of her intutive readings.

You saw the large elephant standing as part of a circle of small elephants. The elephant started trumpeting and bringing attention to something that needed to be corrected. The other elements joined in the trumpeting, calling for support, calling for the collective, calling for a voice. This trumpeting is the call of movements, of change, and transformation.

When I reflect on this statement, I realize that when I write this newsletter, I am calling for support and change.

The same when I share or comment on a post.

Or when I facilitate a meeting.

Or when I have a 1:1 call.

My mom had the gift of speaking truth to people in her life, and having people who seemed difficult open up to her.

I feel the same in my personal and professional experiences.

I'm excited to uncover more of my intuitive gifts.

I had a great conversation with the growth team at Charter School Business Management Inc. Collin Raymond and Steve Reid talked about how their company sees business development with me last week. We started our conversation by centering relationships and getting to know each other for the first half of the call.

Business karma - doing what's right by clients.
