The Home Depot Expands Same-Day Delivery Options With Instacart
The Home Depot, Inc. is the world's largest home improvement retailer, providing a wide range of products, tools, and services for home improvement, construction, and gardening. Founded in 1978, the company operates over 2,300 stores across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Known for its extensive inventory and knowledgeable staff, The Home Depot offers everything from building materials and appliances to décor and garden supplies. With a strong emphasis on customer service and innovative retail strategies, including partnerships for same-day delivery, The Home Depot continues to be a leader in the home improvement industry.
The Home Depot Inc. has partnered with Instacart to offer same-day delivery from nearly 2,000 U.S. stores. Customers can order home improvement items, including large items up to 60 pounds through Instacart's Big & Bulky solution. This expands Home Depot's e-commerce capabilities, complementing its existing partnership with Walmart's GoLocal service, which provides same-day and next-day delivery for smaller items. Instacart's service aligns Home Depot’s vast product range with rapid delivery options, enhancing customer flexibility. This partnership follows a similar move by Lowe’s with Instacart in 2022. Home Depot operates over 2,300 stores globally and employs approximately 465,000 associates, while Instacart collaborates with over 1,500 retailers across 85,000 North American stores.
