Is "buyer fatigue" setting in? Are buyers at their breaking point?
While we are experiencing record low inventory rates and consistently higher number of homes selling week over week in 2021 we have to wonder if and when the market will slow down. It's frustrating to be a buyer right now... there are not many homes to choose from and you have to act fast as most homes are experiencing multiple offers and bidding wars. While Kane County is hanging in there it seems that buyers might be stepping out of the market in DuPage County. Over the last few weeks the number of homes under contract has taken a step back in DuPage County. It's too early to tell how this trend will play out over time but we could start to see the same trend head into Kane County if buyers continue to exhaust their efforts.
