?? The 'Holy Grail' of Technology

Why have humans always been obsessed with eternal life?

From stories about the Holy Grail and the Fountain of Youth, to recent medical breakthroughs and technological innovations, we've always fascinated over ways to extend our lifespans, as well as improving the quality of those years.

And while innovations in healthcare have certainly extended our life expectancy (up six years over the last two decades), has society caught up with the implications of this new paradigm?

Financial services is a particular area of fascination for us. We've been building in fintech with Aviva for several years now, and we see a huge opportunity in building financial products for older generations. As this age group (the over 60s) becomes the fastest growing consumer segment, who will build financial products that serves their interests best.

Venture designer Samuel Rueesch shares some of his thinking on financial longevity in today's Startup Bulletin, out now on Substack. We're actively interested in building in this space - if you're interested, get in touch.
