It was 2 years into my business.?

Boundaries were non-existent.?

I was tired and drained all the time.?

Sucked at planning and delegating because my to-do list was so long.

I remembered a book I read years before (I can't remember which one it was now)?

And they asked the question… “If nothing was holding you back from living your dream life, what would your day-to-day look like?”

So I asked myself that exact question.?

But what would my day-to-day look like??

I lived in a waterfront apartment I manifested years prior. Tick.

I was in the best shape as I was prepping for a bodybuilding comp. Tick.?

I met my now husband that same year. Tick.?

But my routine...

It was a mess.?

So if nothing was holding me back I’d…

Wake up at 5 am and do a visualization exercise.?

I’d go for a walk on the beach.?

Have a coffee and my favorite breakfast.

Then get stuck into the work that inspires me the most.?

After almost doing a whole day's work in a few hours because I was so productive…

I’d then go to the gym.?

Have lunch.?

And do whatever the heck I wanted for the afternoon.?

I thought... ‘I’m almost already doing that now.’?

I just needed to change a few things around.?

The first thing I changed was my calendar.?

Said no to all meetings before 9 am and after 3 pm.?

This automatically helped my energy levels.?

Instead of doing meetings at 4 am, I woke up at 5 am and focused on myself!

I then booked a massage every month and tried something new each week to have more fun and relax.?

Whether that was a float tank, sunset walk, or trying a new restaurant.?

I then also hired a full-time VA to take care of most of my socials and messages.?

I was so far behind in emails, messages, and admin work I felt like I wasn’t able to focus on money-generating the way activities.?

I then focused on MMA (Money making activities) first thing in the morning after my coffee.?

To me, reconstructing my routine was also a big form of self-care.

We're often the easiest people to fool Holly! Being honest about what works and doesn't is sometimes uncomfortable but shouldn't be ignored. In refining my daily routine, I've adopted a few principles that have made a significant difference: 1. I avoid answering calls from unknown numbers during work hours, allowing me to focus on planned tasks and maintain negotiation control. Unexpected calls can disrupt the flow of my day. 2. My mornings are dedicated to high-priority projects before I check emails or messages. This ensures that my peak energy hours are spent on the most impactful activities. 3. I decline meetings without a set agenda or specified end time. This practice ensures that every meeting is purposeful and time-efficient. These habits have been crucial in improving my productivity and work-life balance.
