Holidays Food for Thoughts
Christmas is around the corner and it's an important holiday for those we love. Our Mom always loved Christmas because it was the first holiday she celebrated with us where she could showcase her cooking, but also provide for my sister and me. Her homemade chicken or whatever she can come up with. It's been almost 3 months since she passed and not a day goes by that we don't think of her and how much she meant to us. I still remember dressing up for the holidays when I was just a little kid, but as the years continued to progress, it was harder to celebrate. With the stroke, with COVID-19, and with life, in general, it's hard to spend time with those we cherish. We didn't have the Christmas tree that we used to light up nor the homemade Asian dishes she should make. Every moment I still hold so dear to our hearts.
The last few months have tested my patience with a lot of things. From losing my mom that fateful night to my wife's miscarriage 2 weeks ago today. My wife's a rockstar and she's doing great after the situation. Thanks to those who called, texted and even sent warm hugs/shoulders to cry on and so forth. We're all grateful for all the love and appreciate it all! It's hard to take time to reflect, but with this holiday season, it's time to carry and be grateful for what we have and don't have. It hasn't been the easiest end of the year, but I know, 2024 is around the corner and we have so many resolutions we want to hit just as KPIs, client goals, etc, but we know it's just going to take time to ramp up. This campaign length is full year since we know for sure is going to take some readjustments at times, but we'll figure it out. We'll optimize accordingly and make sure we pace in full and hit our goals.
The reason why I'm writing this post is that take the time to be grateful and be human every day. We don't know what tomorrow brings, but we are only guaranteed for today. Be there for each other, love each other, learn from each other, cherish each other, and take the time to say hi to the security guard at your office building. They're the true MVPs working late nights to make sure your offices are intact and able to be there the next day. Or even say hi to your Uber driver as they're dealing with 7 am NYC traffic. Every human matter.
As the infamous quote from one of my favorite movies of all time, "Bill and Ted", "Be excellent to each other."
Merry Christmas to those who read up to this point and have a great happy new year! ??????
