I remember waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread and hot chocolate on Christmas morning. Looking out my window at the mountains of snow covering my backyard brought so much joy and excitement.
Tradition in my home was being surprised with a pajama set and matching house slippers laid out on my bed the night before. I would run downstairs to take a peak at all of the gifts surrounding the tree and could not wait to see what Santa left behind.
No matter where you are and how busy you may be we never forget these unforgettable memories that make us feel closer to home even with our new traditions we create as adults.
Whether you decide to volunteer or participate in a toy or food drive, you are giving back to those who may not have great memories for the holidays or did not have an opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. Make it a tradition and leave a positive impact on someone’s life so they will remember that moment of kindness for years to come.
