Holiday Message from Vista Health Systems, CEO Kevin M. Spiegel, FACHE
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to the associates of the Vista Health System.? While I try to give people the thanks they deserve all year round, this particular holiday is truly the optimal time to show others how much I appreciate their service to the Vista Health System and the patients we serve.
I am deeply thankful for the privilege of my new position as your CEO at Vista Health System.? I am honored to work with the many great teams throughout our organization.? We are inspired as we touch the lives of our patients each and every day.? However, we also witness pain and suffering in our patients and families and, this too, affects us.? Being a healthcare professional, provides those of us at Vista with a perspective unlike any other profession.
I appreciate all the unique, engaging, unbelievably bright, committed and wonderful people who work here.? At Vista, we are truly blessed to be working with great teams of professionals at every level within our organization.
We have many associates from different places, cultures and religions and the diversity of our workforce also makes us more open minded and innovative in our thinking and approach to enhance patient care.
Given the work we do, healthcare professionals inherently feel privileged to have the opportunity to touch people’s lives in such an intimate way. We often witness miracles before our eyes. We are blessed by the unique opportunity to put our patients and families back together who might be broken apart by psychosocial issues, trauma or disease.? Vista is the place we take our own families for help. This unique ability of caring for others, as well as our own families, forces us to improve and innovate change for the better each and every day.
Change has become our constant!? We must continue to improve quality, the patient experience and innovation each and every day, even though we may find it difficult at times.? After all, change is the most difficult thing there is!
Thanksgiving is an important time of year because it reminds us to slow down and think about the things in our lives for which we are grateful.

Each and every day, I am amazed and moved by the accomplishments of the Vista family and very proud and pleased to be part of this team. I want to personally thank you for your commitment to Vista because I consider you part of my family.? Thanks also to our corporate leadership at American Health Systems for their tireless creative work, counsel, advice, and blessing of so many projects this past year.?? And to the Medical Executive Committee, thank you for your diligent work to enhance the health status of our System. And finally the Community Board who provides priceless council and advise to the Vista Leadership. We are clearly united by our goal to provide world-class care to this community, and improve the health status of our community.
