A Holiday Greeting

A Holiday Greeting

Tis the season. A time to look inward and outward. To rejoice and regroup.

When I look outward I see a whole host of people I’d like to wish all the best in this festive time and to thank them for helping to make the past year such a rewarding one for me. First off, a hearty thank you to my “team,” a group of talented and dedicated people who made the marketing, messaging and promotion of my book, Aligned, a resounding success. They have been conscientious, professional and, most important, good-humored throughout the process, and for this I am truly grateful to them.

Others to whom I owe a debt of gratitude are the individuals who gave freely of their precious time to appear in podcasts and videos aimed at spreading the word about the importance of alignment. Communication is the beating heart of any endeavor. So a big thank you must also go to the reporters and editors of online and print business magazines who ran stories and excerpts about my project for their millions of readers. I feel truly blessed for the many, many people on both sides of the Atlantic who took my call, heard my message and passed it on to peers and colleagues. The year 2019 was truly remarkable for me, and I shall always look back on it with great fondness.

When I look inward, on the other hand, I see a smaller gathering of people – beloved family and friends. Although the year-end holiday season is sometimes viewed as a frenetic period, with festivities, shopping sprees and religious services, I think it should also be a quiet time, a moment of reflection, not on the past or the future, but on the present. Take it as an opportunity to breathe, to see how well you fit in with your immediate surroundings and the larger environment. Take the time to become aligned with your loved ones, sharing laughter and smiles and stories. That moment is irreplaceable. And with all that, be thankful for all your blessings; count them and be aware of them. To get to this mindful state of mind, I can offer only two words of advice: be present!

If you enjoyed this article and would like to learn more about the concept of alignment, you can get a copy of my book, Aligned: Connecting Your True Self with the Leader You're Meant to Be here: https://amzn.to/2m2cmfP

So so happy that the book has been a success!!! I am so grateful for the adventure we shared over the last year, and I raise a glass to a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic new year to come! ??
