Holi & DEI - a colourful message!

Holi, Diversity & Equality

A billion+ people across India and the world, beyond the divides of faith, beliefs, and strata are gearing up for the festival of "Holi" which will be celebrated on March 8,2023.

Holi is known as the “Festival of Colors” and marks the beginning of spring. Holi is a time to celebrate diversity and uphold the ideals of equality and harmony, regardless of caste, class, religion, gender or sexuality.

Throughout the Indian subcontinent, Holi has always been an opportunity to bridge the gaps between different social classes. People of different religions and backgrounds come together to celebrate the festival. All differences are, "at least" temporarily forgotten and all participants join in the spirit of celebration, giving peace and harmony a chance. Holi, thus, provides a platform where diversity and inclusion can be embraced, and it is a reminder that everyone is equal.

Holi also serves as a reminder to everyone that all humans are born equal and that the human race is far from perfect. We are all different and unique, yet at the same time, we are all united by our common humanity. Holi challenges the status quo and encourages us to look beyond our differences. It is a reminder that we can live and progress in harmony with one another, no matter our differences.

In addition, Holi is a time to celebrate the beauty of nature and our environment. People take joy in creating beautiful works of art with natural dyes, made of flowers, fruits and leaves. This reverence for nature and the environment is a reminder that we are all interconnected, and that the environment we live in is an essential part of our lives.

Holi is also a time to celebrate our cultures, values and traditions as different beings with a common denominator. Holi is thus a celebration of our shared humanity and the many different cultures and perspectives that make up our world.

Ultimately, Holi is a reminder that diversity and equality are essential for a peaceful and prosperous society. It encourages us to bridge the gaps between different social classes and to embrace our differences. It is also a reminder that different cultures, values and traditions can coexist peacefully, and that we can live in harmony with one another.

Come. Celebrate Holi, Celebrate Diversity & Inclusion.
