Holding Yourself Accountable - Week of 7/17

"One Learning a Week" 2023 Challenge

Week of 7/17: 4 minutes

This week's "One Learning a Week" challenge is around what systems and incentives you put into place to drive your own accountability. I love the idea of using these techniques both for both personal and professional goals.

Driving accountability could look like:

-Announcing you're running a marathon (yes, I see you Indy Sen !)

-Outlining to-do lists and action items at the end of each call

-Committing to only checking social media on specific days or times

I'm excited to hear your accountability tips and tricks. Are there any technology tools you've found helpful in driving your accountability? Share away!

You can download a digital version of the?weekly learning challenge tracker here ?to note takeaways and actions you've taken. We've already halfway through the year with the "2023 Weekly Learning Challenge!"

I've started to lean heavily on the Digital Wellness tools built into my devices (Google Pixel phone, Apple iPad). I set daily and time-of-day limits on apps that I know tend to be time-wasters (most social media), as well as those that prevent me from maintaining my work-life boundaries (e.g. Slack, LinkedIn).
