Holding your Peers Accountable

Accountability is one of the most important skills you can have as a manager or co-worker. If you're not holding your peers accountable, it's easy for them to fall into bad habits or become complacent in their work. That's why we've put together this list of tactics that will help you hold each other accountable, no matter what kind of work environment you're in:
Transparency is key.
The best way to hold your peers accountable is by being open and honest with them. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it, or say "no" when something isn't right for you. If a peer asks if they can borrow your laptop, say yes--but only if they'll return it!
The same goes for saying "yes" sometimes: If a colleague asks if they can take some time off work because their kid has an illness, don't hesitate before agreeing. You might even consider offering up some money from your paycheck so that this person doesn't have to worry about missing out on wages while taking care of their family member (as long as it's within reason).
Listening to your team is key.
You can't be an effective leader if your team isn't willing to speak up. Listening to their concerns, asking questions and being open to changing course are all important parts of being a good leader.
When someone comes to you with an issue, listen carefully and don't jump right into solutions right away. Ask them how they feel about it, what they think could be done differently or any other questions that come up as part of this conversation so that you can get an understanding of where they're coming from before making any decisions yourself. The more information we have about each other's perspectives, the easier it will be for us both later on down the road when we need help making decisions together as a group

Be focused on the work, not the person.
It's important to focus on the work, not the person. The work is what matters, not who you are. The work is what you create, not who you are.
The best way to hold your peers accountable is by focusing on their actions and results rather than who they are as people.
Hold each other accountable, be open and honest about what you need from each other, and don't be afraid to ask for help.
Conclusion
The best way to hold your peers accountable is by being transparent, honest and open with each other. You'll also need to listen closely when someone asks for help or guidance on an issue they're facing. By doing this, you'll create a culture of accountability that will allow everyone on your team to perform better and lead happier lives.
