Isaiah 49:15-16 ESV Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold,?I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
As Mother's Day approaches, it stirs emotions of the hearts in mothers everywhere – joy, gratitude, and for some, the ache of loss. For those who have experienced a child loss – through estrangement, miscarriage, or pre-mature death - it's a day marked by tender remembrance and longing for what could have been.??
My journey through motherhood was not exempt from this complex tapestry of emotions. After four years of marriage, my husband and I eagerly anticipated the arrival of our first child, Victory Jordan. Yet, our joy was eclipsed by the shadow of loss, as Victory slipped away from us after just three fleeting days.
In the wake of grief, God's presence became palpable through the comforting embrace of His people. Through their words and their presence, we found hope, and a reminder that Victory’s existence is now shaped by Heaven.?
Having a baby in Heaven changes everything. Our thoughts drift to our future reunion when we enter the cloud of witnesses. We now pray and worship as ones with eternity written in our hearts. And we seek to experience more Heaven here on the earth every day.

To every mother navigating the depths of grief, God understands the agony of your loss. He knows what it's like to lose a child. The anguish of separation runs deep within His heart, echoing the cries of every grieving mother. Throughout the Bible, we witness His heartache for His children, separated from Him because of their choices. We see His sorrow in experiencing the death of His son, Jesus. Hebrews 4:15 reminds us that Jesus – our great high priest - understands our grief because He himself has experienced it. Yet, in His infinite love and mercy, God offers us hope and a promise of restoration.
Isaiah 49:15-16 carries a profound irony. As mothers, we never forget our children. And even more so, God never forgets us. He holds us in the palm of His hand, cradling us in His tender embrace. Amid our pain, He whispers words of comfort and reassurance, reminding us that we are not alone.
Because of Jesus, we have great victory and hope. Resurrection and reunion are not just distant promises but present realities. When Jesus took back the keys to death, He not only secured our future hope but also ushered in a resurrected life for us today.
1 Corinthians 15:55,57 ESV “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? But thanks be to God,?who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The resurrected life of Christ goes beyond ensuring our future by also transforming our present reality. He liberates us from the weight of grief, restores our joy and invites us to dream again.? He turns our valleys of trouble into gateways of hope. His arms are open wide, offering comfort and restoration to every grieving heart. You will see His goodness in the land of the living!
As we honor the memory of our precious children this Mother's Day, let us cling steadfastly to the victory of resurrection and reunion found in Jesus. His resurrection power is not only a promise for the future but the hope we hold onto today

6 个月Prayers, understanding and love Mary & David. I lost 2 children on month 4 of the pregnancies. Here are song lyrics I wrote after that: When I am in heaven I will see you And I will sing to God in gratitude We'll talk awhile I'll watch you smile When I am in heaven I will see you Where tears are hoped away And life is renewed Part of my joy in heaven Will be you No death. Only more life.
