"Hold Print" and "Locked Print" for Ricoh MFPs
Industry data reveal between 10 and 20 percent of all print jobs in firms get thrown away from being unclaimed. In high print litigation environments, this can equate to hundreds of dollars wasted each month. Along with this unfortunate financial cost, there is also a soft cost in privacy and possible exposure of confidential information.

About Hold Print and Locked Print
Hold print and locked print enable you to hit print on your computer, tablet, or mobile device, and release the job manually at the MFP. The idea being is if you are near the copier to release the job, you will not leave or forget the document. While anyone can release a hold print document, a locked print document requires a 4-8 digit pin code to release.
How to set up
1) Click file>print from whatever document you are working with.
2) Click printer properties or preferences depending on the operating system.
3) Click the drop down arrow under Job Type. You will be changing this from Normal Print to either Locked Print or Hold Print.
3) After making this change, click Details to the right. Here you will enter a name only for hold print, or name AND password for locked print. Click OK.
Releasing documents from the Ricoh MFP
1) From the Ricoh MFP home screen, tap Printer.
2) Tap Print Jobs. From here you can find the names of the users who have sent hold print or locked print jobs to the printer. Again, you will need the pin code if you sent a locked print job. This will be reflected by a small lock icon.
3) Tap Print.
