Hold Our Peace
An individual can unfortunately and unintentionally cause another person’s property to be damaged. For whatever reason the person never trusts this individual to handle any of their possessions ever again, even though the person knows it was an accident.
Now aren’t we glad the Lord doesn’t treat us the very same way? Even with are brokenness, flaws and mistakes Jesus still reaches out to each of us. In His own Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence receives perfected worship; perfected praise; perfected giving and perfected service from those individuals whose hearts, minds and spirits are directed towards Him.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking these broken vessels and putting them back together again. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making vessels of marred clay into vessels of honor for Your Divine Purpose. We are the sheep of Your pasture and we have been made uniquely on purpose “For Purpose.”
In this moment, O Lord, our prayer is that of the Psalmist when he prayed in Psalm Chapter 51… “7 Purify me from sin with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear sounds of joy and gladness. Let the bones that you have broken dance. 9 Hide your face from my sins, and wipe out all that I have done wrong. 10 Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a faithful spirit within me. 11 Do not force me away from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and provide me with a spirit of willing obedience. 13 Then I will teach your ways to those who are rebellious, and sinners will return to you. 14 Rescue me from the guilt of murder, O God, my savior. Let my tongue sing joyfully about your righteousness! 15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will tell about your praise (God Word’s Translation).” Amen and Amen.
He’s (satan) is still trying to provoke a response, but we are determined to lift up the blood-stained banner for our Lord. In circumstances when we are faced with a great multitude of issues mounting up against us – I am grateful for the Word made flesh (Jesus Christ) allowing the Holy Spirit to teach and remind us of the “TRUTH of God,” which stated in the Book of Exodus Chapter 14… “13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace (KJV).”
So when individuals turn their backs on us: what are we going to do? “Hold Our Peace.” When they no longer have confidence in us or have the ability to trust us: what are we going to do? “Hold Our Peace.” When others wrongly and intentionally accuse us: what are we going to do? “Hold Our Peace.” When we are told that we are not good enough; smart enough; attractive enough; blessed enough or anointed enough: what are we going to do? “Hold Our Peace.” Why? We have an assurance that if we “Hold Our Peace,” and let the Lord fight our battles, then victory will be ours.
Sisters and Brothers, we are not going to respond the way satan wants us to, but instead we will stand still and “Hold Our Peace.”
