Holacracy |Free thinking Approach towards Architecture

Architecture is visual art and the structure speak for themselves !

Give customers a worthy reason to switch and after that just wait and watch ,you will not have to spend a penny on customer acquisition ,customer will keep on merging with you.

Whatever transformation strategy we follow eventually the result of ground would speak themselves and that would be directly proportional to the extent up to which leadership has grip on transformation components and the way driving force conceptualize the ecosystem of stakeholders :

  1. People
  2. Process
  3. Technology

Lets assume we are in era where we know about candle but bulb is yet to be invented , we think from conventional mindset folks prevailing in candle era will be comfortable with candle and just try to improve it with time . Isn't it ?

Among them someone came out of that mindset and invented bulb ...... How he did that ?

Its simple he liberated his thought process from concept of candle and changed the axis of thinking towards something intuitive .

Problem was still not solved . Now comes the adoption .

Concept of Candle was so much established in thought process of middle and old aged people that they were appreciating bulb when it comes to showcase in public but preferring to have candle way back home .

You would say obviously there was cost associated with bulb ,electrician ,electricity in other hand candle was portable ,standalone with no dependency on ecosystem but when you put a visionary thought process ROI of Bulb was is exponentially higher than candle and with time bulb became mainstream and candle went on candle light dinner tables.

Correlate above case study to whats going on Enterprise landscape now a days ,every body read very little and ultimately articulate that verbally on social platforms and formal gatherings but when it comes to implementing change on ground approach is still to keep lights on .

What could be the reason ?

  1. Conventional mindset penetrated its root deeper in leadership ?
  2. Middle aged minds who are comfortable with recent technology with considerable transformation experience are following conventional leadership vision?
  3. Suppose if you don't know how to cook ,would you ask Marriot for Chef , Marriot Ingredients and Marriot waiter at your home? If you do so they will cook standard food from menu from their ingredients and get is served through standard process with limited tweak ,

Correlate it with IT and OT landscape now a days ,reliability of OEM is increasing as leaders are reluctant to take accountability due to lack of confidence on recent innovation ,to keep lights on and in absence of expertise they involve OEM like Marriot and get Tshirts size standard solution implemented and with time reliance on OEM becomes culture and architectures across the region become homogeneous .

Observe architectures around what you will find ?

All telcos have similar architecture with almost same OEM with same frameworks in most of cases .

All BFSI institutions have similar architecture with almost same OEM with same framework s in most of the cases.

You will say ,If industry is same then whats wrong in having same solution or adhering to competitor's landscape ?

Problem is that with time concept if Innovation ,research will get extinct and at that stage every architecture within landscape will be similar with different wrapper .

You will say ,then what's wrong in it ?

When we talk about digital disruption ,or unique business propaganda ,CX and customer preference it comes with end user experience and in lack of innovation customers will have similar experience like

  1. Whether you use sim from Airtel/Vodafone in india same issue ,similar experience
  2. Whether you use HDFC ,ICICI ,AXIS or any other bank same issue same experience ,customer hardly think of changing bank

You will say atleast we are similar not lacking ?

You are lacking every bank is investing lot of money on sales ,customer acquisition , cold calling and when customers get calls they ask what is different ?

Hardly executive on other side of call could provide any differentiation and thus customers hardly find any reason to switch .

Give customers a worthy reason to switch and just wait and watch ,you will not have to spend a penny on customer acquisition ,customer will keep on merging with you.....................Like CITI ,Slack ,Rubrik ,VMware .

Still we have time ,leadership should be young enough to take accountability and justify conceptual ingredients in depth because vision on verbal talks ,vision on paper and vision on ground can't resonate if the accountable person can visualize upto the lat layer of execution.

There are different verticals be it Sales ,Marketing ,Core, Finance and IT ,Leader of your vertical should have their own vision with crystal clear execution upto bottom and that vision will be whitepaper in itself.

Very nicely written Ashish!! I think you have briefed the free spirit thinking for an architect really well. There is so much that can be articulated about every aspect you have mentioned and I am sure you have more coming in regards to the individual aspects. Keep them coming.
