Hobby or Hungry

There is a difference between the presence of God and the glory of God. And if you only visit His presence and only view what He can do for you rather than who He is in His glory, you do not have the gospel, you have a hobby. If you can leave His presence unchanged you are not a tabernacle of His glory you are a slave to entertainment and self, you have a hobby. You have a hobby that you can just pick up and put down, become interested in and uninterested in at your own convenience. If you can be around the things of God and never be changed by the glory of God. You do not have the good news that shook the world. You have and prefer another form of entertainment. Do you ever wonder why you are stuck in a cycle from event to event? And you feel like you're waiting on certain things or church services to breathe life into you? It is because we have become addicted to temporary trips into His presence instead of being hungry to live in His glory. Let us be hungry to live in His glory. If we truly want revival and change our situation, we have to be hungry for God. The bible tells us, that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. The enemy wants us bound in self and our current lifestyle. The enemy wants us to focus our mind and thoughts on our past failures which is the opposite of God's promises and plans. How do you answer the question, who do you belong to? Jesus said in order to have a conversational relationship with Him. In order to have access for hearing the voice of God. You must make sure you are in a relationship with Him. Jesus said, my sheep are the ones who will hear my voice. It doesn’t matter if you attend church regularly or about good deeds or intentions. Those things are good but should not be confused with having a relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the things I love about the Holy Spirits work in us and this is in regard to us hearing God, His work is to sanctify us. Sanctification is the process in which we are molded into the image of Jesus Christ. It is the process by which our mind changes, ambitions change, our desires change. We start wanting stuff we never thought we would want. We stop wanting things we thought we’d not want to separate ourselves from. The Holy Spirit, what He does is turn our desires so they are in alignment with God’s will, so we want we what it is God wants us to want, that is what the Psalmist meant, when he said God will give us the desire of our heart. God does not give us what we want. God puts His desire for us, so that we want what He wants for us. In closing, my dad told me many years ago as well as many times. Jon Mark, you must have your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You must believe and confess that Jesus died and shed His blood for you and that He is the way, the truth, the light, the life and Lord of all. Once you do, He will come in and you will know it. Dad was right and it was the best decision I have ever made.? If you are reading this and want to learn more about making the best decision you can ever make, by starting a relationship with Jesus Christ and getting to know Him, please reach out. Because every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before and that is a promise. Make it a great day for yourself and someone else as we live to love and share Jesus with others.

Psalms 37: 1- 4

?Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Hebrews 10:34- 39

?

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
