HMOs (shared Houses) and understanding the HOO-HA that surrounds them

We're archiving our first 10 years of docs but here is how I first learnt to understand what is needed for the council for an HMO. Room sizes, lighting, fire regs, all was new to me. I got logical, and printed out all the regs so that I could read it, refer to it and then feel more comfortable that I was being compliant with the requirements.

Check your local council area, if in the early days, you are nervous. 

Never let the lack of knowledge stop you, go get the info you need and get going!
