HM17 - new Era for Process Automation

I couldn't even wait until I land back home to write a small brief about HMI7 and specially #HALL9 where all things are happening there ...!!

Being my self as FAST and EASY to decide ... I wanted to show others what they have miss beside good food, drink and above all the nice "stroopwafel" provided by PROCENTEC :)

Now, back to Technology!!

Siemens had finally decided to go for PCS7 V9.x with new release of PROFINET to PA coupler (Simatic CFU); including digital inputs and outputs and an amazing feature which is 'auto-address configuration' of PA instruments. So, now we will not need anymore GSD or GXML files to add them in the HW-Config. Also, staying in Siemens the new PROFINET on redundant network is there with 'availability feature' having the PROCESS plants easy to upgrade with 2xSeperate Network running independent as PROFIBUS DP. Having on top of this all new Y-Link wheather on Ethernet or directly on PROFINET with easy PLUG & PLAY modules. Makes you feel and touch the I4.0 is about to come.

On the other corner of the HALL, we have PROCENTEC!!

They had launched the FUTURE of Ind. Ethernet Diagnostic Tool "ATLAS" where you can diagnose PROFINET - MODBUS TCP - ETHERNET IP & more into one tool without any software installation. Also, will give you easy send and receive via OPC UA to your SCADA in order for you to enable all alarms in one place.

I will be heading back to my middle east, explaining to my clients, partners and members where are we going and how things you can count on !!
