Hitting the ground running

?? Hey, Hola, Bonjour and a HUGE welcome to my first post of On The Run ???


Although the name of this blog may insinuate I am on the run for doing things like robbing a bank or stealing a puppy, it is actually a lot more lighthearted than that - I promise!?


On The Run is a blog that is dedicated to everything from events, travel, health and fitness all from my personal point of view. As I am always on the run (quite literally, from running on the treadmill in the morning to running around London underground on my way to an event) I figured the name had a great catch.?


But, as my mum said to never trust strangers, before we get to all that, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Beth, Gym Addict and Sales and Marketing Executive at emc3. I could bore you with things like my favourite colour being blue or the fact I could eat Italian food for breakfast, lunch and dinner *insert chef’s kiss here*. BUT I am not going to do that. Instead, I'm going to cut straight to the point and tell you about my lightbulb moment and how On The Run came to be.?


It started one morning when I was at the gym squeezing in a run before a 10 am meeting. I was running away trying to beat my 5K time before I realised I was always on the run. Now for many, this sounds horrible. If I’d been the one reading this blog a few years ago I would have tuned out right about now, laughed into my copious amounts of snacks and chugged a coffee. But things are a little bit different now and honestly, I love running and exercising. I am grateful for the ability to move my body rather than having the mindset of begrudging having to do it. Our bodies are incredible and the more you push them physically, the more you realise what you are capable of and the beauty of this is that it starts with exercise but develops further. What am I capable of? How far can I push myself? With my career, my fitness, my mindset? If you have read Atomic Habits you will understand the saying ‘be 1% better each day’ so that is what I personally strive for. To be 1% better, each day, in every aspect of my life.


So what can you expect from On The Run?


Well, time is our biggest asset and I want to help you make the most of yours. I first-handedly understand that balancing, health, fitness and career doesn’t always come easy—especially when you’re constantly on the run! But here I'll show you how to prepare and make the most out of your minutes, where they count.


On The Run will be a safe judgement-free space dedicated to providing helpful information, tips and tricks, and so much more - aiming to inspire and educate any individual that works within a fast-paced industry and strives to be healthier. That's it. It is as simple as that!?


No striving for perfection, just simply doing what feels right for you, your body and your agenda within this fast paced little whirlwind of a bubble we call work.
