Hitmarker Highlights
Hello there ??
Things are heating up this week as more rumors about the titles that could be announced over the next week start to circulate. There are several showcases to look forward to, with some of gaming's biggest names appearing. ??
This week also saw more big news for Microsoft, with reports that the company may withdraw Activision Blizzard's operations from the UK if the CMA's decision to block its acquisition isn't reversed. They were fined $20 million (USD) for violating child privacy laws, too.
It's been a busy seven days, so let's keep things moving by jumping into some hot jobs!
Here are the top 10 most popular vacancies on the platform this week:

Other news ???
Aside from Microsoft potentially changing how Activision operates in the UK and being fined millions of dollars, Blizzard's new release, Diablo IV, has been a huge success, with two expansions already in development.
Square Enix's Final Fantasy franchise is also generating buzz. As the release of Final Fantasy XVI approaches, rumors of a remake of Final Fantasy IX have been confirmed as "real" by reputable insiders.

We're switching gears this week, with a look at which gaming companies are currently hiring the most on Hitmarker. This data comes courtesy of our beautiful new company directory page:
We all know it's been a year of layoffs, layoffs, and more layoffs. And, with the advent and acceleration of publicly-available AI services, this depressing pattern is unlikely to be broken anytime soon. ??
Most major gaming studios and companies are still hiring, though, with all of the very biggest names still incredibly active in terms of looking for awesome new talent. Ubisoft leads the way with 371 live vacancies as of June 8, 2023, followed by EA (172), Riot (169), Rockstar (156), and Blizzard (147), which are all clustered pretty closely together.
It's notable that Unity and Twitch are nowhere to be seen here, though. Unity was our #1 hiring company in 2022 with 1,928 vacancies in the calendar year, while Twitch was #6 with 653. Unity currently has just 38 listings open, while Twitch has just 16.
Here are a couple of the best posts from our channels this week:
