Hit idle this week?
Hello again, friend!
Hope your week is flying by in the best way -
the kind of week where everything gets done
and?no MONEY MONSTERS rattle their cages.
Sounds wonderful, no?
It can be tricky in the midst of all the
~ doing
~ completing
~ accomplishing
to make sure your MONEY MONSTER is behaving himself.
I mean, after all, who has time to discipline a MONEY MONSTER?
It's so much easier to just let them run roughshod over your dreams.
But I am here to tell you, it's just not worth it!
Those MONEY MONSTERS can really keep you from what you truly want in your best life and you just don't have to stand for it.
Take, for instance, this guy:
Not Likely Ned
He's a great one for spinning dreams and then reneging on making them happen.
He may talk big when it comes to what he wants but he certainly doesn't back those dreams up with action.
He prefers to keep it chill and maybe spend time on a movie marathon as 'research', rather than making his film.
He definitely orders delivery whenever he feels too unmotivated to cook.
And he doesn't really think momentum brings the miracles.
He uses his time to pursue whatever catches his fancy in the moment and this can mean half-finished projects
~ if he even starts them.
His floor is littered with the?roadkill of his ideas?but no one can see the vision that he is sure is wrapped up in the clutter.
Since he isn't able to share his work with anyone, no one is certain exactly what he is working on.
He is invisible to the people who hold the cash,?waiting to pay a visionary exactly like him,
instead, he holds his ideas in his head,?never putting them down on paper.
As a MONEY MONSTER, this may not seem like a trait that would concern you.
But his lethargy is catching.
This kind of 'What's the point?' thinking is contagious and it keeps you?sick, broke, and immobile, rather than actively making the projects (and moves necessary to share them with your greater community).
When you see a project through to completion, you create
~ a piece to feather the collective nest
~ a new entry for your artist portfolio
~ a showpiece of what you are capable of.
People with?money to spend?love all those things.
Now are you so cynical on the value of your offerings that you would?deny them the pleasure of buying from you?
I hope not.
Avant, MONEY MONSTER, avant.
So get you to your maker's space and make your next big thing.
We need what you are up to.
warm wishes & cold cash,
Rhianna
