The 9/11 terrorist attacks were a series of coordinated attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, carried out by al-Qaeda:?


  • Hijacking: 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners at three East Coast airports.?
  • Plane crashes: Two planes were flown into the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City, causing both towers to collapse. A third plane was crashed into the Pentagon outside of Washington, DC. A fourth plane was intended to be crashed into another building, but the passengers fought back and the plane crashed into an empty field in Pennsylvania.?
