December Lettings Market Overview
Recent weeks have seen a late flurry of activity in the lettings market. Small adjustments in price have resulted in tenancies starting before the Christmas and New Year interlude, rather than waiting until January. For landlords eager to rent out a property before the end of the year, the next two to three weeks offer a real window of opportunity.
?In addition, we have agreed several short lets for the holiday season. For those attempting to sell their property, but expecting little interest over late December and early January, a short let offers an extremely attractive return during an otherwise fallow period.

December Sales Market Overview
After an active autumn market, we are now entering a quieter period of the year. Traditionally, the second half of December marks the Christmas interlude, with a lull in interest until early January. We also face the challenge of low economic growth domestically and ongoing uncertainty from regional conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.
?Despite pockets of strength and resilience, this uncertainty has created a more price sensitive market. However, early signs suggest that international turbulence is also attracting new interest in the historic stability of the London property market. Furthermore, we’re excited about the opportunities of the January market, as potential customers show real focus with the new year, beginning their search with fresh intentions and revived determination.
