THE HISTORIC EMBASSY THEATRE TURNS 95!

The Historic Embassy Theatre Turns 95!

?Fort Wayne, Ind. (May 12, 2023) –?The Embassy Theatre will be turning 95 this Sunday, May 14. The Embassy opened as a vaudeville and movie house in 1928 and has been the preferred venue for music, comedy, creative arts and unforgettable life moments for so many Fort Wayne natives and more broadly throughout northeast Indiana.

?When guests enter the Embassy, they experience so much more than just a show or event, they are surrounded by a rich history. The architectural structure and design are nearly an exact replica of what their great-grandparents might have experienced as young adults. Community events like the Festival of Trees bring generations of families together to pass on memories that have been carefully cultivated throughout the last 95 years.

?Original programming that includes Down the Line, Summer Nights and an extensive list of growing Embassy Presents shows demonstrates the breadth of unique offerings that can lean progressive and innovative. On the other hand, the Grande Page organ concerts provide a way to honor entertainment that has thrilled audiences since the theater opened nearly a century ago. And, while those examples have excited patrons both old and young, the organization provides extensive study trips and Learn It Live shows that often engage students with their first theater or arts experience, which is a wonder to witness.

?While the Embassy will be saving the grand celebration for its 100th birthday, the staff will be working tirelessly to bring meaningful programming to the stage and lively special events to the multi-tier ballroom. With fourteen shows and events over a two-week period, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Theater show details and ticketing links can be found at www.fwembassytheatre.org.

?If the community would like to support the mission of the historic Embassy Theatre, the nonprofit suggests donating $95 for the 95th birthday. Gifts can be made HERE or by contacting Kent Castleman, chief philanthropy officer at 260.247.9383 or [email protected].
