Histogram

Histogram

This is a visual representation of height by population in a country. It helps in understand the height proportion and average height in geography.

A histogram chart is a popular type used to visualize the distribution of numerical data. It can help in identifying gaps and uniform spread in the data. It's a great way to spot outliers or null values.

A histogram consists of bars, where each bar represents a range of values (called bins), and the height of the bar indicates the frequency of data points within that range

The normal distribution, also known as the Gaussian distribution, is a continuous probability distribution that is symmetrical around its mean. A histogram can be used to visualize the distribution of a dataset and to see if it approximates a normal distribution.

  • Bins: Divide entire range in common intervals based on value or number of bin
  • Frequency: Choose custom value to determine height of bars.
  • Range: Group min and max threshold values
  • Fill pattern: Solid, Outlines, Hatched
  • Analytics: support for Min, Mode, Mean
  • Cumulative Histogram: type of histogram shows the running total of frequencies.
  • Stacked Histograms: allow for the comparison of multiple datasets within the same histogram by stacking bars on top of each other.
  • Overlaying Distributions: Plot a normal distribution curve, to compare the data distribution.
  • Annotations: Adding labels, titles, measures on canvas.
  • Trellis: Stacked group is also supported
