?? LDC Releases 2022 Full-Year Latinos in Media Report

The Latino Donor Collaborative (LDC) and Nielsen have released the 2022 Full-Year LDC Latinos in Media Report?, which provides an update on the 2022 Latinos in Media Report. The report highlights the dismal representation of Latinos in lead and co-lead roles in TV shows and films. Latinos represent only 3.1% of lead actors in TV shows and 2.1% of co-lead/ensemble actors. On film, the representation is just as dismal, with Latinos representing just 5.2% of lead actors and 5.1% of co-lead/ensemble actors.

It is essential to address these discrepancies and strive for more accurate representation in the media.

?? HMC Inducts Gloria Constanza into Hall of Fame

The Hispanic Marketing Council (HMC) has inducted Gloria Constanza into the HMC Hall of Fame. Constanza has been a key promoter and architect of the U.S. Hispanic Market's media landscape and explosive growth for over 25 years. She has helped introduce some of the most significant brands to the Hispanic market, including Sears, Kraft, Bank of America, and many more. ?? Papa Johns teams up with Doritos

Papa Johns and Doritos have teamed up to create the new Doritos Cool Ranch Papadia. The limited-time menu item is a pizza crust sandwich filled with seasoned beef, nacho cheese, and, of course, Doritos Cool Ranch chips.

?? Pepsi launches Latin Fusion Dance Master Class in the Metaverse

Pepsi has launched the first-ever Latin Fusion Dance Master Class in the Metaverse to celebrate the diversity of Latin music. The class features some of the most prominent Latin dance influencers, and participants can experience the class through virtual reality.

?? Shakira to be Awarded as 'Latin Woman of the Year'

Shakira is set to receive the "Latin Woman of the Year" award at the Billboards 2023. The award recognizes Shakira's contributions to music and her humanitarian work.

?? Corridos and Banda Sweep the Global Charts

Seven regional songs, including six corridos and one song with grupero overtones, have entered the Global Top 50 on Spotify. The influence of Mexican regional music continues to grow globally, and these chart placements are a testament to its popularity.
