Hiring and Retaining Top Talents!
I attended Forbes Technology Forum this week; 221+ Industry leaders from various parts of the world were represented, from startups to large enterprises.
One of the forum's hot topics was?how CIOs and CTOs address the challenge of "Hiring and Retaining Top Talents" during the great resignation??
We all would agree that it's the people who innovate, build products, make sales, and offer a great customer experience. Therefore, it's a critical role for any organization to bring and retain passionate people and work towards achieving the organization's shared mission.
The following aspects address the "Hiring and Retaining Top Talents" challenge.

1) Competency Fit: Ensure a precise alignment between the candidate's competency and job function. You will also have to offer training to equip the candidate to succeed in her role.
2) Cultural Fit: It's about the candidate's values and behaviors in alignment with the company's core values. Company X may work in startup mode, speed to market is essential, and it can fail fast and take risks. Company Y would prefer to do things right; It may deliver products and services at scale. It can't afford to risk quality, for example, big banks. You will have to preach and practice the company's core values on every occasion.
3) Career Growth and Compensation: Almost every employee constantly looks for career growth and personal growth, like expanding skills and diversifying experience. You make sure you offer growth opportunities, continually provide feedback, and recognize the work. As the employee's contribution and value creation to the organization increases, the compensation expectation compared to Industry-standard also changes, which needs to be addressed by the company.?
All aspects mentioned above appear to be a tall order; however, it is essential to attract and retain passionate people to come together to execute companies' mission. That's what I learned from the leadership forum.
