Product Owner


Role Purpose

To help us continue to grow, we’re in search of an experienced, exciting Product Professional / Owner to lead our multi-disciplinary product team.

As an ideal candidate, you will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. You’re a highly skilled product owner with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product production — from conception through release. You may already be a confident leader who has experience guiding cross-functional growth teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities

  • Analyse consumer needs, current market trends from an ROI perspective
  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Analyse product requirements and develop appropriate programmes to ensure they’re successful achieved
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate take-to-market plans
  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Analyse market data to help define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organisation

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Strong experience in a dynamic product ownership role
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Previous experience delivering finely tuned product deliveries
  • Proven experience working within a product owner role

Preferred Experience

  • Previous software and web development experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge in Healthcare technology

Merchandise Manager

Role Purpose

To support the delivery of the Chemist Direct & Private Online Doctor strategy achieving sales and profit targets by ; maximising the on-site merchandising opportunity of the Chemist Direct / Online Doctor and White Label sites to optimise site traffic ;  maximising conversion rates and facilitate a frictionless customer journey that is easy to navigate and accurate. 

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

·       Responsible for, and Champion of “what the customer sees” and customer journey

  • Working with Marketing by optimising the online merchandising of the customer proposition in an effective way to maximise sales and profit and drive conversion rates and SEO / PPC / Google Authority Score to agreed targets
  • Creating and implementing opportunities to optimise on site space merchandising opportunities to maximise marketing income from suppliers
  • Implementing a frictionless customer journey that is intuitive, easy to navigate and frictionless to optimise customer traffic and conversion rates, sales and profit on a continuous improvement basis
  • Develop, test, implement and manage the end to end Product processes and timeline in a continuous improvement environment (Systems & Processes) in collaborations with key stakeholders
  • Develop, manage and own relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Suppliers / 3rd Party suppliers
  • Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for role

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·       Highly analytical and numerate with the ability to convert analysis into tangible business benefits

·       Strong commercial and operational mind set, constantly focussing on delivering value to customers

·       HTML / Web Dev / Adobe / Marvel / Microsoft Office proficient

·       Working with marketing for the management and layout of the customer proposition ensuring all product details are optimised for SEO / PPC customer acquisition to maximise sales and profitability

·       Expert in Google Analytics / Studio / Data Studio / AH Refs and or similar applications

·       Proven team player, demonstrating ability to influence and work at all levels

·       Proven ability to work at pace, to tight deadlines with high degree of accuracy

·       Strong commercial and operational mind set, constantly focussed on delivering value to customers

·       Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload for self and for team, managing at times competing priorities

Product / User Experience (UX) Manager

Role Purpose

To support the delivery of the Chemist Direct strategy achieving sales and profit targets by ; Delivering a first class onsite customer experience and journey . Achieved by creating, developing and implementing a first class, frictionless, customer facing Product (s) that are easy to navigate and accurate optimising the commercial opportunity. This is supported by the creation, development, testing and implementation of frictionless back end systems and operations

· Accountable for and Champion of “what the customer sees” ; the customer experience and journey

· Play a leading role in the Chemist Direct Senior Team. Creating an open culture that is results oriented, accountable and collaborative.

· Working with marketing on the online merchandising of the customer proposition in an effective way to drive acquire customers via different channels ; SEO / PPC / Google Authority Score and optimise conversion rates , sales profit and income
