From a recent refresh of our Talent Trends Report on Offer Acceptance Rates: As the number of candidates for a role increases (we reported on a 2-3x increase in inbound applications from 2021 to 2024 here), we were curious to explore trends in where offer rejections stem from. We can immediately see in the data that offer rejections primarily come from candidates.

That said, there is a peak in more offers rescinded from the organization hiring from Q4 2022 through Q3 2023. Rejection reasons here could include the role being closed, not being able to meet salary requirements or candidate expectations, and so on.

We’ve just released Hiring Manager Experience Surveys in Ashby.

These are surveys sent to hiring managers once a hire has been made to solicit feedback on collaboration with the talent team and overall recruitment process.

Customers use these surveys to strengthen their partnership with hiring managers while reducing the administrative overhead of managing this feedback loop in a separate system.
