Assistant Manager - O2C (CP) position. The main ideas are:

  • Client communication: The assistant manager needs to communicate regularly with the client’s executive director and senior management, review the financial position and health of the agency, and address any issues or needs.
  • Financial reporting: The assistant manager needs to assure the production of accurate and timely financial reports, such as financial statements, contract summaries, and cash flow reports, and communicate the research and analysis of the financial results to the agency’s board and internal management.
  • Contract compliance: The assistant manager needs to work with the functional department heads to ensure compliance with government contracts, prepare and conduct audits, and improve workflow processes.
  • Budget creation: The assistant manager needs to assist in the creation of the annual agency budget and grant budgets, with breakdowns by department, program, or funder.
  • Team management: The assistant manager needs to manage their respective client team of accountants, analysts, and interns, and provide guidance and support for them.
  • Experience: The assistant manager needs to have at least five years of experience in financial accounting, fiscal consulting, management, or budgeting, and supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Finance: The assistant manager needs to have knowledge of general finance principles, such as forecasting, variance analysis, and financial statement analysis, and be able to understand, partner, and translate financial information for managerial action, and evaluate complex financial structures.
  • Education: The assistant manager needs to have an MBA, CPA, CA, or a comparable advanced degree in finance domain.
  • Detailed activities: The assistant manager needs to perform various tasks related to payroll, contract, spending, and cash flow reviews, budget modifications, amendments, and updates, funder and fiscal audits, and contract reclass entries.
