"Hire Our Heroes and my transition out of the military"

My second anniversary of my official End of Active Service (EAS) nears. I stopped to ponder what an amazing and exciting two years it has been. This transition would of been more difficult if it wasn't for Hire Our Heroes Organization.

The term "end of active service" (EAS) is typically used in reference to military personnel who are completing their term of service and leaving active duty. It marks the point at which an individual's obligation to the military ends and they are free to return to civilian life or pursue other opportunities.

The exact length of a military service commitment varies depending on a number of factors, including the branch of service and the specific job or role within the military. For example, the standard enlistment period for the Marines is typically four years.

In some cases, individuals may choose to reenlist and continue their military service beyond their initial term. Others may leave the military entirely and transition to civilian life. Regardless of their decision, the EAS marks an important milestone in the life of any military service member.

In my case I was fortunate enough to be part of a program called Hire Our Heroes.

Hire Our Heroes" is a program designed to help military veterans and their spouses find employment opportunities in the civilian workforce. The program is U.S. Chamber of Commerce organization, which partners with companies across the United States to connect veterans with job openings that match their skills and experience.

The "Hire Our Heroes" program offers a range of services and resources to support veterans in their job search, including career fairs, networking events, online job boards, resume assistance, and interview coaching.

In addition to helping veterans find employment, the "Hire Our Heroes" program also provides resources and support to help veterans transition back to civilian life after leaving the military. This includes access to mental health services, financial counseling, and educational resources.

While I was on active duty I was able to complete a 12 week fellowship. Which help me get my foot in the door in Cloud and Infrastructure world.

The "Hire Our Heroes" program is an important initiative that has helped me by connecting me with meaningful job opportunities in the civilian workforce.
