Hilton to pay millions for Nashville hotel brand

Hilton is adding a Nashville-based boutique hotel brand to its portfolio.
希尔顿全球酒店集团 (NYSE: HLT) announced an agreement with AJ Capital Partners to acquire the Graduate Hotels brand, according to a release. Hilton will pay $210 million to acquire all rights to the Graduate brand worldwide.
The Business Journal reported last month that Hilton was in discussions to buy the campus-focused hotel brand.
Nashville-based AJ Capital Partners, led by Ben Weprin , launched the Graduate Hotels brand in 2014, which now has more than 30 locations in the U.S. and England.

Concept maps at a recent Metro meeting reveal key pieces of Mayor Freddie O'Connell ’s transit plan.
“I think almost everything we're going to consider today from a concept map standpoint will fit into the program we hope to have you all consider fully, finally and that we then asked the Metro Council to enable offering to voters,” O’Connell said at the start of the Transportation Improvement Program Technical Advisory Committee meeting on March 6.
The plan presented at the meeting by Metro Transportation Planning Director Michael Briggs, AICP includes a wide scope of projects that will be paired down to match revenue projections.? |? Read more about the plans here.

Local burger favorite to open two more locations
Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint is opening two Nashville area locations this year.
Known for having some of the best burgers in town, Jack Brown’s will open in Green Hills this spring and in Clarksville later this year.
“When the Green Hills location came up, I felt like I couldn’t turn that down and then I also said, 'Clarksville is a boom town right now,'” said Chenault Sanders , founder of Nashville-based private investment firm BlackBird Capital and an original investor in Jack Brown’s. “I think five units in this market wraps us up here.”
Along with the expansion, Blackbird Capital is also making strategic real estate purchases that ensure the longevity of Jack Brown’s locations. The firm has a contract in place to purchase the building for the Clarksville location, and is in the process of purchasing the building for its Germantown location.?? |? Read more

It's official: TikTok lands on permanent Nashville office location
TikTok has landed on Music Row for its permanent Nashville office.
The global social media giant is pursuing two full floors in Music Row’s Moore Building, according to a permit filed with Metro. The Business Journal first reported that TikTok was eyeing the Midtown building in January.
TikTok has been operating its Nashville office out of the WeWork located at downtown’s One Nashville tower since entering the local market in 2021.? |? Read more
