WHAT IS HALAL?
Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. In reference to food, it is the dietary standard, as prescribed in the Qur’an (the Muslim scripture). The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. These terms are commonly used in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

HALAL CERTIFICATION
Halal Certificate is a document issued by the competent Islamic bodies in the country of origin or the exporting country, indicating that meat or meat products or other related food have been processed and produced in accordance with the requirements of Sharia, or that the products or their components are halal, and that all conditions, materials and tools of preparation are in conformity with the requirements of Sharia and relevant stipulations.
The?Halal certificate guarantees that products and services aimed at the Muslim population meet the requirements of Islamic law and therefore are suitable for consumption in both Muslim-majority countries and in Western countries where there are significant population group who practice Islam.
