According to the 100-day Plan of the Ministry of Transport, BRL 1.7 billion will be invested in works
To improve Brazil's road infrastructure, the federal government launched last Wednesday (18/1), the 100-Day Plan, a program that involves investing BRL 1.7 billion in works to improve the highways quality. According to the Ministry of Transport, this amount will enable the delivery of 861 paved, revitalized and signaled until this April.
The plan even covers the construction and revitalization of 72 bridges and viaducts in the same period. The main works will be carried out on 12 highways that cross the country: BR-432/RR, BR-364/AC, BR-116/CE, BR-101/SE, BR-116/BA, BR-080/GO, BR-101/AL, BR-381/MG, BR- , 447/ES, BR-163/PR, BR-470/SC and BR-116/RS.
According to Renan Filho, Minister of Transport, the government will prioritize and strengthen the use of existing resources for structural works. “We are going to invest in major transport corridors, in highways duplication and railway integration, to increase competitiveness of the country's economy. This way, we will reorganize the planning cycle for the next four years”, he highlighted.
Works resumption
The minister informed that another 670 kilometers of works that have been paralyzed due to lack of funds will be resumed, where there are plans for phases of revitalization, construction and critical segments. “We need to expand investments in the road network and, with that, strengthen international competitiveness, preserving the country's environmental conditions”, he concludes. ?
