The highly impressive women I met in AI startup space in San Francisco!

Generally people know that I am very enthusiastic person and have very favorable opinions on anything new which sounds great to my ears. I have a reputation for being very optimistic and positive. I guess it has to do with my blood group B+ve and the fact that for the first few years of my life I lived in slums in Pune, India and so I seem to have that "always positive, cheerful and never give up" attitude which probably kept me afloat during those years in poverty. But thanks to the great gift of education, even from parents who are not educated and come from very rural, village background in India, I made it to the Silicon Valley - Mecca of Innovation! Naturally, I am very indebted to my company Deutsche Telekom, which made this possible for me. Thank You!

Well, so since I am in San Francisco on a Job Rotation and my topic of work is finding great AI / Machine Learning startups which we, as Deutsche Telekom can partner with, I ended up going to lot of AI conferences and meetups lately. What really amazed me was how much talent is there in this space and how fast it is growing. AI is the most hyped trend right now in the Valley and there is a plethora of startups in this space and the number is growing day by day!

What stood out for me was the fact that I had a chance to meet with some great company founders, who happened to be women and I was really highly impressed with the way they presented themselves in such a nerdy space. They were charming, attentive (note to myself: i need to work on it as well) and very professional. There were number of women on the AI panels and everyone was as amazing as I imagined them to be. But I also had a great opportunity to chat with 2 Co-Founders personally, which really made a mark on me. They very eloquently explained to me the idea behind their companies in Healthcare and HR respectively.

I just want to tell these women and others in this space - Keep it up! You guys make Product Managers like me very proud and it is such an honour to meet you and take inspiration back home. Am looking forward to many more such startups headed by great women. I will end with a quote which points to the power of women. It is meant in a positive way and not against the other sex!
