Liget Budapest Project Wins Three Prestigious International Travel Awards

For the first time in the history of the International Travel Awards, a project has won three awards: the Liget Budapest Project secured first place in two categories—World’s Best Tourism Development and Europe’s Best Family-Friendly Development—while the House of Music was recognized as Europe’s Most Attractive Tourist Attraction. The developments in the renewed City Park competed against popular tourism projects from over 120 countries, and were deemed the best based on the jury’s evaluation and public votes. The International Travel Awards is the most prestigious prize in the travel and tourism sector, often referred to as the ‘Tourism Oscars’, and annually recognizes the finest from thousands of contenders. Munkácsy – Story of a worldwide sensation

The large-scale exhibition on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the birth and 125th anniversary of the death of Mihály Munkácsy (1844–1900) features more than a hundred works of art, archival photographs, documents, and cult objects, which help to gain an even better understanding of the life, achievements and incomparably rich oeuvre of one of the most famous Hungarian painters. Balaton Park in Hungary is set to be included on the 2025 MotoGP? calendar. The venue, near Lake Balaton in western Hungary, will undergo upgrades to the circuit and facility in order to welcome the world’s most exciting sport next season. MotoGP? first raced in Hungary in 1990 before returning for a second Hungarian GP in 1992. Since, the nation has also celebrated the successes of home hero Gábor Talmácsi as he became the first Hungarian to become a Grand Prix World Champion by taking the 2007 125cc crown.
