Highlights from Our Debut Gamemasters Summit

The Kwalee Gamemasters Summit was a huge hit, thanks to the generous support of expert speakers from across the industry... With sponsors like AppsFlyer , Embrace , and our media partner PocketGamer.biz , the event was a gathering of almost 800 mobile gaming pros, developers, and those curious about the industry, all diving deep into the latest trends and insights.

There were informative panels, a fascinating and lively keynote debate, thought provoking case studies, thousands of networking messages and 70 buzzing community boards, showing how the gaming community comes together. From chatting about marketing strategyto cheering on awesome collaborations, the success of this first edition will pave the way for more conferences going forward. In fact, we’re delighted to announce that the Gamemasters Summit will return - with a second edition later this year focused on the indie PC and console sector. We kicked off the Gamemasters Summit with a combination of topics in the Expert and Emerging tracks. In the first half we delved into career insights in the gaming industry, discussed marketing strategies for hit mobile games, and celebrated our successful collaboration with Clap Clap Games over the years, plus so much more! The second half began with the much awaited keynote with industry experts. The panel discussed 2023's lessons, decoded mobile game secrets: why do some games soar while others stumble? They also analysed big launches like Perfect Hotel and Whiteout Survival.

The speakers also speculated on Apple's strategies, the ad network scene ruled by giants like AppLovin, and the future of alternative app stores in 2024. That’s not all, we also had talks focusing on monetisation, the ad creative life cycle, game publishing strategies for emerging developers, and lots more. Take a look at the highlights here.
