Managing Workload and Personal Life Strategies
Susan discussed strategies to help overwhelmed leaders, particularly women, manage their workload and personal life. She shared her personal experience of being overwhelmed while running her business, caring for her family, and her 91-year-old father. Susan emphasized the importance of finding solutions that work for everyone and encouraged her audience to implement these strategies immediately to alleviate stress and prevent burnout. She led a value-focused masterclass aimed at helping participants manage stress and increase productivity during the holiday season. Susan also addressed the issue of burnout, noting that it often starts with fatigue and the loss of joy in one's life. She encouraged participants to share their feelings and experiences, creating a safe space for open discussion. Susan discussed strategies to improve productivity and reclaim time for the holiday season and the New Year. She highlighted the concept of emotional labor and the mental workload that comes with managing family and work responsibilities, encouraging women to stop taking on too much and to start prioritizing their own needs.
Managing Capacity and Preventing Burnout

Susan emphasized the importance of understanding one's capacity as a metaphorical cup, which can be filled with tasks, stress, and other factors, and emptied through self-care and mindfulness activities. She warned that overfilling the cup can lead to burnout, which has serious health consequences such as increased risk of diabetes, anxiety, heart disease, and even early mortality. Burnout can also negatively impact workplace performance, leading to decreased productivity and job satisfaction. Susan encouraged the group to identify what is currently overflowing their cup and to focus on strategies to prevent this, including emptying the cup through self-care and mindfulness activities.
Effective Time Management and Organizational Culture
Susan discussed strategies for managing time effectively and improving organizational culture. She emphasized the importance of effective time management and suggested some ideas to help manage time more effectively. She also recommended examining the meeting culture to assess where it can be improved and offered some strategies for improving meeting culture to make the more effective and efficient. Setting Boundaries
Susan discussed the importance of setting boundaries at work to protect oneself from taking on too much. She introduced the concept of "secret boundaries" and suggested some strategies to help set boundaries even when it seems quite difficult. She emphasized the benefits of these strategies, including increased productivity.

Susan discussed various strategies for maintaining balance and focus in a work environment. Susan also emphasized the importance of self-care and respecting one's own capacity. The conversation ended with an invitation for participants to share their experiences and ask questions.
